Natural hardwood worktops come with many benefits - not least a luxurious look and durable properties. With basic care & maintenance, your worktop will last a lifetime and beyond. Maintenance simply means a refresh of the protective oil coating every now and then. You’ll know it’s time to re-oil when the existing oil dries out. If a drop of water sits on the work surface, the oil level is fine. If it sinks in, it’s time for another coat. You should also always use a worktop saver for hot cookware and avoid chopping directly on the surface.

Origins and Durability: Alongside its natural beauty, our Oak Timber has its origins at the Black Sea Region and it grows to become up to 15% denser and harder. That is caused by the severe temperature differences between the Summer and Winter Seasons and dry climate conditions. The continues internal stress caused by extreme thermal expansions and contractions harden the fibers, just like a muscle would when exposed to continuous tension. Hence this makes our Oak Worktop an extremely hard-wearing timber surface that will certainly last a lifetime.
