Natural hardwood worktops come with many benefits - not least a luxurious look and durable properties. With basic care & maintenance, your worktop will last a lifetime and beyond. Maintenance simply means a refresh of the protective oil coating every now and then. You’ll know it’s time to re-oil when the existing oil dries out. If a drop of water sits on the work surface, the oil level is fine. If it sinks in, it’s time for another coat. You should also always use a worktop saver for hot cookware and avoid chopping directly on the surface.

Why Oak Worktops?
There is an old saying - “England was built on Oak”, which is applicable for all countries lucky enough to have this tree in their forests. The Oak tree is a symbol of longevity, survival, strength and protection, no wonder it has always been one of the most popular choices for woodwork. Today its versatility and symbolic presence still keeps the Oak Timber at the heart of our homes and kitchens - the most beloved wood type for kitchen worktops, oak shelves, tabletops or just for a work surface. Origins and Durability: Alongside its natural beauty, our Oak Timber has its origins at the Black Sea Region and it grows to become up to 15% denser and harder. That is caused by the severe temperature differences between the Summer and Winter Seasons and dry climate conditions. The continues internal stress caused by extreme thermal expansions and contractions harden the fibers, just like a muscle would when exposed to continuous tension. Hence this makes our Oak Worktop an extremely hard-wearing timber surface that will certainly last a lifetime. Since it is our duty to provide you with an extensive variety of kitchen oak worktops to choose from, we also offer Prime Oak, Deluxe Oak, Deluxe Rustic Oak and Oak worktop.
