Care Instructions Tips:

Natural hardwood worktops come with many benefits - not least a luxurious look and durable properties. With basic care & maintenance, your worktop will last a lifetime and beyond. Maintenance simply means a refresh of the protective oil coating every now and then. You’ll know it’s time to re-oil when the existing oil dries out. If a drop of water sits on the work surface, the oil level is fine. If it sinks in, it’s time for another coat. You should also always use a worktop saver for hot cookware and avoid chopping directly on the surface.

Returns:

If the worktop you receive is not as expected, please get in touch with us within 2 calendar days of delivery so that a replacement can be arranged. We accept returns within 30 days (Terms & Conditions apply, see our Returns page for more information).

Finish:

We highly recommend oiling your worktop to keep it protected, prior to installation - we can also do this for you. Simply choose our pre-oiling service when you select a product to add to basket. All our solid wood worktops will arrive with a natural square-edged profile for you to customise as needed (or we can customise for you, visit our Worktop Builder in the main menu or select "Customise worktop").

about the worktop

Origins and Durability

Alongside its natural beauty, our oak worktops have their origins in the Black Sea Region, and the timber they are cut from grows to become up to 15% denser and harder.

The Black Sea Region experiences vastly different temperature conditions between summer and winter. These varying weather conditions cause thermal expansions and contractions that harden the fibres within the oak tree. The end result is a hardy, long-lasting oak worktop with a beautiful smooth finish that brings light and nature back into your home.

We also stock a wider range of solid oak worktops, including prime oak and deluxe rustic oak, on our solid oak worktops page
